Actually you don’t need me to experience a light way to start living and loving freely. You only need you, a pen and a paper.

Let’s get visual

a simple drawing assignment

  1. Take a couple of deep breaths
  2. Draw a line for your life from a couple of months ago until now on the left half of the paper
  3. Draw yourself on the paper
    Notice where you’ve drawn yourself, are you on the line?
  4. Write some thoughts that you have a lot these days around you
  5. Write down how you feel at this point in your life
  6. Draw how you would like the line to continue
  7. Look at what you’ve drawn. Take a couple of deep breaths again.
  8. What do you feel now? Is there something you need? Is there something you would like to say to yourself? Something you need to do? Write it down.
  9. Put the paper away and do nothing for at least 10 minutes.

For the example I used an A4 paper, 90 grams, a colored magic pencil from Koh-I-Noor and a 0.2 black fineliner from Rotring. But really… if you’re not into artists supplies as much as I am, just take any pen and paper.

This assignment is one of many I can think of, based on where you are or what you need. And I have a lot more questions and some wisdom to go with it.
